As 2022 comes to a close, we’re attending a number of shows, as well as debuting new educational resources to help you stay connected to our developer, partner, and startup communities. We hope to see you at one or more of our upcoming events!
Shows and Expos
- HashiConf (October 4-6, Los Angeles, CA)
Our team is back home after a wonderful time at HashiConf. Thank you for the engaging conversations, love for our Linny (the Linode mascot) plushies, and the excitement over the Linode Terraform Provider, support for Consul, and new Marketplace apps for Nomad and Vault. Check out our Docs site for our latest reference architectures.
- SaaStock EMEA (October 18- 19, Dublin, IE)
The team is heading to SaaStock EMEA in Dublin for the first time. We’re excited to share news about the Linode Rise Startup Program and details about the future plans of Akamai Linode Cloud Computing. Stop by Booth S5, we’ll introduce you to Linny, the Linux penguin, grab a drink on us, and talk about scaling your app on Linode.
- KubeCon NA (October 25-28, Detroit, MI)
We’re off to the Motor City for all things Kubernetes. On Tuesday, October 25, we are teaming up with Nigel Poulton to bring you two workshops on Day Zero. Join us from 9:30am to 12:00pm for Getting Started with Kubernetes followed by a CKAD Exam Cram from 12:30pm to 4:30pm. Once the conference starts, we have a jam-packed agenda that includes a booth quiz, book signing, and special Linny plushies to give away. Members of the LKE development, and solutions engineering teams will also be onsite to answer questions.
- CompTIA EMEACon (October 31-November 1, London, UK)
CompTIA might be best known for IT certifications, but did you know they also have a thriving global community of Managed Service Providers (MSPs)? EMEACon is the largest community event in the region, with top-class keynotes including former England national team manager Kevin Keegan, networking opportunities, and vendor fair. If you’d like to join us, become a VIP Guest for free (tickets normally £295), sign up here.
- Web Summit (November 1-4, Lisbon, PT)
Join us, along with over 70,000 tech enthusiasts, at Web Summit, the largest event we’re attending this season. As you catch up on industry trends, app development, and infrastructure, come meet the Akamai Linode team at Pavilion 2, Stand #0402-52. Our solutions engineering team will be available to chat about our announcements for global expansion, incorporating portability into architecture design, and to set you up with a free credit to test out the Linode Cloud Platform.
- IT Nation Connect (November 9-11, Orlando, FL)
If you’re a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or IT service provider, all roads lead to the state of Florida in October for one of the largest industry events, hosted by Connectwise. Referred to as the “glue that holds the IT/MSP industry together,” this event typically has more than 2,000 MSPs in attendance. Find us in the vendor expo to chat about the opportunity for MSPs to reduce costs and add choice by offering Linode as an alternative to hyperscalers. Rest assured we’ll be pulling out all of the stops with swag, giveaways, special guests, and more.
We’ve added a few new opportunities to connect thanks to the addition of a new Akamai Linode Developer Advocate, Talia Nassi. Attend one of her talks at:
- Starwest Conference (October 6, Anaheim, CA)
- Porto Tech Hub Conference (October 25-28, Porto, PT)
- Caribbean Developers Conference (November 3-5, Punta Cana, DR)
- Conferencia Agile Spain (November 10-11, Spain)
- Spajk by Elevate Conference (December 7-9, Stockholm, SE)
