This past weekend Linode sponsored the 3rd annual Rails Rumble competition. The Rails Rumble is a 48 hour contest in which teams of one to four members design and develop complete web apps using Ruby on Rails. This year 237 teams entered (cue visual of 200+ Linodes booting at the same time) and 137 of those submitted a working application. Linode kept some interesting stats during the Rumble, and the competition has already been reduced down to 22 teams.
If you’re interested in checking the apps out, or casting some votes (some voters are randomly selected to win prizes), head on over to the Rails Rumble site. Voting ends Sunday, August 30th at midnight UTC (8PM EDT).
